The Department of Applied Japanese

Objectives

With the Taiwan-and-Japan reciprocal commercialism and the high frequency of the interactive communications between two peoples, the Department of Japanese purposes to train learners to possess the fundamental professionalism of Japanese language on the one hand; on the other, to cultivate some of them to be the fundamental level of managers who are able to engage in commercial pragmatism or Japanese tourism.

Characteristics

1.     To cultivate learners to be professional workers who are excellent in linguistic competences in Japanese, including listening, speaking, reading and writing.

2.     To cultivate learners to be professional staff in tourism and business.

3.     To cultivate learners to possess professional responsibilities like

“professional ethics and attitude in career,” “sentiments for humanistic concerns,” “tips at communicative expressionism,” “a spirit for holistic learning in life,” “Vision on expanding multi-culturalism.”  

4.     To train learners to have logical and unique thinking modes.  

Future Possibility

1.     Advance studies: (1) in domestic institutes; (2) advance abroad in Japan universities.

2.     Job Opportunities:

(1)    Japanese translation, word processing, administrative staff in Japanese education institutes, and etc.

(2)    Japanese secretary, secretary assistant, procurement staff, operator, marketing logistics staff, telephone customer service.

(3)    Tourism: Japanese tour guide, tour escort, travel agency staff, duty-free product introducer, travel consultant, clerks in business, hotel counters, or hotel staff
